HIGH-PRESSURE JET DRILLING: ARDITA SOLUTION FOR MAXIMUM PERFORMANCE AND CONTROL IN UNCONSOLIDATED SOILS

Sector: Construction
Application: Dewatering

Challenge

The construction of wells using the jet drilling system, which employs high-pressure water to erode the ground, is an effective and fast technique, particularly suitable for unconsolidated soils (sand, gravel, silt) and for shallow to medium-depth wells.

A major Icelandic drilling company turned to Euromacchine in search of a reliable, high-performance solution.

Specifically, their requirements involved ensuring operability in harsh environmental conditions and providing variable pressures between 15 and 35 bar. For this project, Euromacchine selected two pumping units, complete with finishing fittings, which when operating in series could deliver the required maximum pressure.

Solution

After a careful analysis of the application requirements and operating conditions, the solution chosen was two Ardita units, specifically configured to provide greater versatility in use, as they can be deployed simultaneously across different drilling sites.

The Ardita solution allows precise pressure control, ensuring mechanical robustness, ease of maintenance, and long-term reliability.

For continuous and repetitive drilling operations, these are essential elements to maintain consistent performance and ensure maximum operational efficiency. This made it possible to achieve high performance and consistent reliability, ensuring effective soil erosion and controlled drilling progress, reducing intervention time, and improving borehole quality.
