In Italy, as in the rest of the world, extreme weather events such as floods are increasing and unfortunately becoming more intense.
Some of the most significant post-flood problems include interruptions in the power supply, resulting in a lack of lighting, and the issue caused by stagnant water that remains in the area, creating accumulations that can be dangerous — posing health risks to people and causing permanent damage to buildings. For this reason, once the flood wave has subsided, it becomes essential to remove the water from flooded areas as quickly and effectively as possible, channeling it into the sewage networks or allowing it to flow away through natural drainage systems such as rivers and canals.
Starting from the flood-related issues described above, we developed an innovative multifunctional emergency response unit that we have named LAMPO.
This machine can be used simultaneously as a generator set, a lighting tower, and a pumping system capable of varying flow rates and pressures through an inverter (VFD), thus meeting all the needs arising from the issues that typically occur during flood events. The multifunctional LAMPO unit is also a suitable solution for various other emergency operations, including landslides, wildfires, earthquakes, and power outages, providing valuable support to Firefighters, Civil Protection operators, and all organizations such as the Red Cross that work daily to respond to emergencies in the field.
